Members of the St Michael's community gathered for our Remembrance Service on Tuesday morning to honour those who gave their lives for our country in battle.
During the service we showed our gratitude for the sacrifice made by soldiers including Old Michaelians who fought in the Second World War. Mr Pears, Mr Wiseman, Mrs Leech and Mrs Shield delivered prayers and readings, joined by pupils Daniel and Harrison who read their original poem, The Poppies in the Field. Beautiful performances of I Vow to Thee, My Country and In Flanders Fields by our Chamber Choir were also poignant tributes.
The service ended with a 2-minute silence and wreath laying by St Michael’s Heads of School.
