Former Head of Science, Mr. Alan Hughes (1985–2015), has been awarded the National Educators’ Lifetime Achievement Award. During his 30 years at St Michael’s, Alan inspired generations of students with his passion for chemistry and innovation in teaching methods. “It was always about sparking curiosity and seeing students’ eyes light up,” he said. Alan continues to mentor young educators across the country.
